Giedrė Mockeliūnaitė, after studying psychology and acting in New York City, returned to Lithuania to transform her diverse artistic experiences into painting. Since 2018, she has seamlessly blended various art forms into her visual work, viewing painting as the pinnacle of her creative journey. Her latest exhibition, "Kind of Blue," honors her deep connection to jazz and the legendary Miles Davis. This collection merges sound and visuality, celebrating jazz's improvisational spirit. Mockeliūnaitė's vibrant canvases, rich with childhood imagination and bright colors, use a mixed technique of oil, acrylics, and pastels, reflecting her dynamic and meticulous creative process.
