Embellished Walnut Bakhour Burner & Bowl

The inlaying is a form of the ancient art of Naqsh (نقش), a complex geometric art form that involves engraving intricate patters onto hard surfaces, and inlaying mother of pearl in the carvings. This unique design continues to be an art form deeply rooted in Damascene culture.
